Yeah….I know (long time no post).\u00c2\u00a0 I have to admit that with the house guests, studying, martial arts, and life’s daily demands, I have just had to let some things go.\u00c2\u00a0 The blog has been one of these things.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s not forever, but I have to keep my priorities (pass the tests being #1).<\/p>\n

There isn’t much exciting to report so I won’t do a day by day (you’re welcome!).\u00c2\u00a0 Life has just been go, go, go lately with no let up at all.\u00c2\u00a0 My energy is drained!\u00c2\u00a0 I was asleep by 9:30 PM last night!\u00c2\u00a0 Yes, on a Saturday night.\u00c2\u00a0 Sad, huh?\u00c2\u00a0 Oh well, it was awesome…till I woke up at 3 AM!\u00c2\u00a0 I couldn’t go back to sleep so I just decided to get up and get started on some of the many things I need to do.<\/p>\n

Let’s see…what major things should I retell?<\/p>\n

The Hail Storm:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We got caught in the worst part of the hail storm<\/a> that hit on Wednesday evening.\u00c2\u00a0 This would be completely my fault as we should have been at home not out driving somewhere.\u00c2\u00a0 Lesson learned – the hard way…sigh.\u00c2\u00a0 We were on 183 when the hail really started to come down.\u00c2\u00a0 We were coming on a wreck that had traffic at a stand still.\u00c2\u00a0 I knew getting caught in that would be the worst thing to do because I didn’t know how bad the storm was going to get.\u00c2\u00a0 I demanded and navigated Bryan (who was driving) over all 3 lanes and even down the cement dividing 183 and the access road and then further through another 3 lanes till we could get on a side street.\u00c2\u00a0 After making it off Research, we found a condo complex and pulled in.\u00c2\u00a0 However, by this time hail had already cracked the windshield numerous times and completely destroyed the sunroof.\u00c2\u00a0 The car also has too many dents to count.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe textured vehicles are the new thing?\u00c2\u00a0 I didn’t think so.\u00c2\u00a0 :(\u00c2\u00a0 As we pulled into the complex, it finally stopped hailing.\u00c2\u00a0 There was hail everywhere!\u00c2\u00a0 Driving on it was hard – very slippery – as was running on it.\u00c2\u00a0 We stopped the car and ran under a covered part of the building.\u00c2\u00a0 People began to come out of their condos to see the damage.\u00c2\u00a0 A nice couple invited us into their home where we helped them pick up hail and the shards of their once upon a time sky lights.\u00c2\u00a0 It was the craziest thing I have ever been through.\u00c2\u00a0 Wow!\u00c2\u00a0 My car in Cedar Park had a few but barely noticeable dents.\u00c2\u00a0 We are currently down to one car as we wait for the insurance company to make their way to us.\u00c2\u00a0 I think we need to have someone inspect our roof as well.\u00c2\u00a0 Some of the hail we saw was over golf ball sized!<\/p>\n

Martial Arts\/Other:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Martial arts has been good this week.\u00c2\u00a0 I finally finished getting all of the blue belt material in Kung Fu, received another section of the Tai Chi sword form, and received my stripe for my 3 step sparrings in TKD.\u00c2\u00a0 I missed class on Wednesday thanks to the storm.\u00c2\u00a0 I also missed Thursday and Friday classes thanks to my blood sugar.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m hypoglycemic, and even though I do great regulating it for the most part, sometimes it just acts up for seemingly no reason.\u00c2\u00a0 I feel horrible when it dips so low, and the only thing that can make me feel better is to just lay down.\u00c2\u00a0 You can’t take classes from bed.\u00c2\u00a0 I managed to make it to Sam’s photo show later Friday night.\u00c2\u00a0 Almost everyone was there which was fun.\u00c2\u00a0 We hung out there for a few hours before going to eat and then home.\u00c2\u00a0 Sam’s photos looked awesome!<\/p>\n

Last night we took Bryan’s grandparents to Sears for a some home items.\u00c2\u00a0 They are going to closing on Monday.\u00c2\u00a0 They have a week full of deliveries following that.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s pretty exciting!\u00c2\u00a0 I can’t wait to see the house filled with all the new furniture.\u00c2\u00a0 I think it’s awesome that we finally have family to visit!<\/p>\n

Studying:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have been studying though I don’t nearly get as much done in a day as I need to.\u00c2\u00a0 I should have been further along by now.\u00c2\u00a0 :(\u00c2\u00a0 I hit the social studies section of the material.\u00c2\u00a0 So, yeah, I don’t know anything about Texas history.\u00c2\u00a0 However, I did buy a book on Texas history yesterday which I have started.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m only to the Archaic period, but so far it’s quite an interesting read.\u00c2\u00a0 I should be well up to speed on Texas’s past once I read it all (which might not happen before I take the test).\u00c2\u00a0 You’ll definitely be seeing me with this book in hand.\u00c2\u00a0 :)\u00c2\u00a0 I think that even though there is still another couple of sections I need to pour through, I need to sign up for a testing date.\u00c2\u00a0 I think doing so will keep me on track by having a constant reminder that the test is actually coming!\u00c2\u00a0 I’m getting anxiety just thinking about it.\u00c2\u00a0 New topic…<\/p>\n
